Questions related to the pre-1990 period have not yet been formulated and discussed in effect in the public space and, for sure, were not processed – to use a fashionable term – by the public opinion. The essays and studies included in this volume are searching for answers to the questions of being and staying Hungarian in Romania. Every community has its own chances, and there are public personalities whose exceptional accomplishments encourage us not to give up, to resist. Although there are several problems and challenges, we also have a series of positive, successful examples worth being taken into consideration.
