This volume brings to the forefront the issues of mediation and the transfer of meaning, emphasizing that understanding is founded on dialogue and openness toward the Other. The studies in this volume investigate how meanings arise and transform across different languages, cultures, and fields of knowledge, highlighting the dynamic and reciprocal nature of mediation. The book brings together a selection of papers presented at the international conference of the same name held in 2025; the included texts reflect a vibrant and diverse scholarly dialogue. Together, the studies in Hungarian and Romanian perform the act of mediation not only thematically but also linguistically, as the volume itself creates a space for dialogue between different scientific and cultural horizons.
