The Basics of Translation Theory. A Coursebook and a Set of Exercises for Translation and Interpreter Students

The main objective of this university course is to combine the general theoretical aspects of translation theory with translation practice for BA students specializing in translation and interpreting. In addition to theoretical knowledge, the course also includes exercises that help students apply what they have learned and develop their translation skills.
It is particularly important for students, once they begin their university studies, to become familiar with the definitions of the main concepts of translation theory and the related linguistic notions, while also being able to put the knowledge they acquire into practice. Therefore, the theoretical framework, supplemented with worksheets, will be published in a volume designed to fill a gap in the training of translators in Transylvania.
